Formerly the site of the cannon brewery, whose origin dates back to the early 1670s, the brewhouse yard was known as the horseshoe and was one of londons largest breweries by 1759, with an annual output of 975,000 barrels. Our characterful london studio is situated in a converted brewery. Once these are out of the way we hit clerkenwell road itself. Since then no standalone history of clerkenwell has been written.
